Yep, fresh weddings (flowers) were our specialization!
It is funny how God can come in and change your heart. It was gradual, but once He was done with us, the new vision was clear and mixed medium wedding design was where we were headed.
We have to tell you it was scary! What do we do with all who come calling for fresh?
Some we take as fresh flower weddings and some fall madly in love with our alternative bouquets.
Yes, we still take on fresh weddings now and again.
This week we met with Melissa who will be married at Vaughn Estates, she is a fresh wedding client.
Her maids will be styled in a Navy blue dress so we are going with colourful bouquets of red, orange, yellow, green and hints of delphinium purple. We will use cymbiduim, roses, dahlia and delphinium blossoms for this October soiree. We are very excited to feel those cool fresh flowers and smell the sweet scent of orchids!
Did you know we scent all of our mixed medium bouquets with a wild flower aroma extract from France!
You really don't want to miss out on a lovely, natural scent and this one is to die for!!
That is just one way we strive to make our bouquets special :)
We have learned that scent is a powerful component of our memory and we want to do everything in our power to help you engage your memory to the fullest on your wedding day. Don't worry, the scent is a light hint of nature .. nothing too sweet or musk like.. just lovely and natural.
Truth be told, many fresh flowers have had the scent bread out of them long ago - bigger and better was the most important characteristics and scent fell way down the ladder in the labs of the flower world. Don't worry, scent is on it's way back up the ladder again!! But be sure to ask your florist if the flowers you have chosen are naturally scented.
